Previously you would have to open images via your own gallery app which is not always easy to do on Android. Now Google Lens app got its own image gallery that shows all your image media files.
The gallery also has a separate section on top that allows you to browse your screenshots very quickly. This simplifies a very common use-case when you want to extract the text from your screenshot for example.
Another noticeable feature can be found if you open an individual image. There you will get quick access to the "donate image" option. This donation can help Google to train their machine learning models so you can get better results from image recognition. The image donation feature is not new on its own but now it makes it easier to donate them one by one.
