Meta Connect 2026 has wrapped up, but Meta appears to have more Muse updates beyond what it showed during the event. We spotted two additions being prepared in a recent Muse web build: persistent access to the agent’s screen and an updated web-based voice calling experience.
The screen view would live in a dedicated tab alongside areas such as identity and updates. When Muse is carrying out a task through its virtual computer, users can open the tab and watch what is happening on the agent’s screen. This could make longer computer-use tasks easier to follow without relying only on status messages.
Meta is also preparing voice mode for the Muse web app. The current interface resembles a phone call with the agent, allowing users to speak with Muse directly from the browser while it continues working. Meta officially presented Muse Voice Mode at Connect as a way to have long conversations while the agent performs work in the background. Given that Muse already has a Mac app, the same calling experience could also appear there.
Another piece announced at Connect is Muse Realtime Avatar, Meta’s technology for bringing an agent to life as an animated character with real-time facial, hand and body movement. This fits Meta’s broader strategy of making Muse accessible across phones, computers, WhatsApp, AI glasses and dedicated hardware instead of treating it as a conventional chatbot. Muse Mail is also expected to expand the agent’s role around email.
Meta has separately opened an early-access path for upcoming Muse capabilities. Users can ask Muse itself to tell Meta that they want to join the program.
For now, the main limitation remains availability. Muse is still inaccessible in many markets, so these additions may initially matter most to existing supported regions. Meta has not announced a broader international rollout schedule.
