NotebookLM Plus significantly increases the usage limits compared to the free version. Users can now create up to 500 notebooks (versus 100 in the free tier), each containing up to 300 sources (up from 50). Daily limits for chat queries and audio generations also increase to 500 and 20, respectively. Additionally, NotebookLM Plus introduces several premium features:
- Advanced Chat Customization: Users can adjust response styles (e.g., “Guide” or “Analyst”) and output length (e.g., “Shorter” or “Longer”) to suit their needs.
- Notebook Analytics: Shared notebooks now include analytics that track user activity, such as daily access and query counts over the past week.
- Enhanced Sharing Options: Users can share entire notebooks or restrict access to "Chat-only" mode, allowing collaborators to interact with the AI without viewing underlying sources.

NotebookLM is developed by Google as part of its broader push into AI-powered productivity tools. The platform integrates with Google Workspace and leverages Gemini AI models. Google has also redesigned NotebookLM’s interface into three panels - Sources, Chat, and Studio—for seamless navigation between managing documents, AI interactions, and content generation.
