Grok, the AI assistant developed by xAI for X (formerly Twitter), is set to receive several updates that will improve its functionality and user experience. These features, currently in development, aim to make Grok more personalized, interactive, and versatile.

Personalization based on user interactions is one of the focuses for Grok's upcoming improvements. Unlike other AI assistants that require separate "Memory" features, Grok has a unique advantage in leveraging users' existing timelines on X. This will allow seamless personalization without the need for additional data collection.

For Android users, a new settings section called "Grok Personalization" has been introduced. This feature allows users to decide whether they want their X data, interactions, inputs, and results with Grok to be used to personalize their experience.

On the web version of X, Grok may soon display follow-up suggestions directly on posts (top screenshot). The following feature also appears to gather media files from related posts and present them above the summary, effectively functioning as an image search within X.

Another notable addition is the ability to upload text files to Grok. Currently, only image file extensions are supported, but this feature opens up new possibilities for users to interact with the AI assistant in a new way. In the future, this capability could potentially extend to code files, making Grok's code mode more useful.

These updates reflect xAI's commitment to improving Grok's capabilities and making it a more integral part of the X platform. As these features continue to develop, users can expect a more tailored, interactive, and versatile AI assistant experience on X.
