Anthropic has rolled out “Integrations” and an accompanying Advanced Research mode that let Claude tap remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and search across the web, Google Workspace, and connected business apps. Both features go live today, 1 May 2025, in beta for Claude Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, with Pro next, while plain web search is now available to all paid customers.

Integrations extend November’s MCP standard to remote servers, so Claude can query or act inside external tools without local setup. Ten launch partners cover common workflows—Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), Zapier, Cloudflare, Intercom, Asana, Square, Sentry, PayPal, Linear, and Plaid—each adding domain-specific actions such as bulk Confluence page creation or HubSpot data pulls via Zapier. Developers can host their own servers in “about 30 minutes,” using example code or Cloudflare Workers.

Advanced Research breaks a request into sub-tasks, scouring hundreds of sources (web, Workspace, and any Integration) for up to 45 minutes before returning a citation-rich report.
Remote MCP servers expose tool APIs that Claude can invoke once the user authenticates. Anthropic advises choosing trusted servers and reviewing permissions, as Claude may execute write actions automatically when Research is enabled. Cloudflare has partnered with ten SaaS vendors to host one-click MCP servers, positioning its network as the default deployment platform for these agents.
Today we're announcing Integrations, a new way to connect your apps and tools to Claude.

Integrations and Advanced Research are in beta today for Max, Team, and Enterprise tiers, with Pro “coming soon.” Web search is now global across every paid Claude plan.
Anthropic, backed by Alphabet, Amazon, and others, introduced MCP last November and has since layered Workspace search, desktop apps, and higher-context Claude 3 models onto its stack. Integrations mark the next step toward a tool-aware AI agent ecosystem, expanding Claude’s remit from conversational assistant to orchestrator of real-world workflows.
