This feature started appearing in November 2020 on iOS and was slowly rolling out to other users after that. Now it got another release wave on Android making it available to more people.
The feature itself allows you to capture multiple short videos separately and combine them together into one. It works as Snapchat's analogy to TikTok and Reels main camera feature.
How to test:
- Open the Snapchat camera and check for a video icon on the right.
- Tap on the video icon to activate timeline mode.
- Capture multiple videos to see them combined.
