xAI appears to be preparing a new screen-sharing capability for Grok’s voice mode on iOS. This unreleased feature would allow the assistant to view the user’s screen in real time, enabling contextual tasks such as live translation, app guidance, or support during device navigation. While similar functionality has already been implemented in ChatGPT’s voice mode, this would be the first time Grok incorporates direct screen access on iOS. It marks a notable step toward more agent-like behavior, where Grok doesn’t just listen, but also observes the user’s digital environment.
Grok for Android update came along with Rex voice and a slight UI change as well.

This screen-sharing integration seems to coincide with a minor visual tweak to the voice UI on iOS, where a shift toward a more bluish secondary color gives the interface a cleaner and more noticeable contrast. However, Android users remain one step behind. Although they recently gained access to the Rex voice and saw a redesigned voice selection UI, the broader feature parity, especially with capabilities like screen access, has not yet been achieved.
xAI keeps preparing Grok 3.5 for the upcoming release. A new model reference "grok-3-5-api-2k-p2" has been spotted in the latest web build, along with a mention of "grok 3.5 flexible input".

The update comes at a time when expectations around Grok 3.5 are mounting, but with no clear launch timeline yet. Compared to the steady rollouts from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, xAI has yet to release a next-gen upgrade of similar scope. As xAI expands Grok’s functionality on mobile, this feature signals a push toward catching up with competitor ecosystems where multimodal and assistant-style tools are already becoming standard.
