Notion continues expanding its Custom Agent platform, with most features still only accessible to a small number of organizations. Current settings for custom agents offer connectors, with Slack as the first available integration, reflecting its importance for team communication workflows. Development is underway to add Notion Calendar and Notion Mail connectors, which would allow agents to respond automatically to events like calendar invites or specific email topics. This positions Notion agents as potential automation hubs, capable of parsing incoming requests and initiating actions across internal and external tools.

Integrations with third-party services such as Cursor, Linear, and Ramp are also planned. Cursor’s presence suggests cross-agent collaboration possibilities, while Linear and Ramp, marked as "alpha" and MCP, will provide automations for project management and finance tasks. Notion is also developing support for user-managed custom MCPs, letting organizations point agents to remote automation endpoints and specify connector types.

The Notion interface is set to add new sections, including Feed, Library, and Workers. Feed will surface organization updates; Library will collect pages mentioning the user.

Workers will enable developers to install, manage, and build their own sync databases, automations, and tool integrations, via an npm package provided for developers. Custom Workers will appear as integration options for agents, broadening automation capabilities beyond what is natively supported.

Additional AI-powered features are surfacing, such as an AI co-editor that offers in-line writing corrections and suggestions, signaling competition with established writing assistants.

The platform is also exploring advanced “computer use” agents, able to interact with virtual machines, file systems, and browser sessions, indicating ambitions beyond internal automation and toward full-fledged operational agents that can manage external compute resources and orchestrate complex workflows.
