Mistral AI rolls out mobile apps, revamped Le Chat, and set to announce major update today

Mistral AI is preparing to release something today, very likely. I think yesterday they upgraded the visual design of their news website, which now features a new logo and pixel art-styled icons. It looks very good, and I really enjoy the new logo and branding.

Besides that, they also updated the main Le Chat product. The upgrades are small but noticeable. In addition to the new logo, there is now a dedicated button for the code interpreter, which wasn’t there before. Another significant change is that all tools can now be selected simultaneously.

Previously, users had to choose between the canvas and other tools. This means the model powering Le Chat is now capable of handling all tools at once, eliminating the need to switch between different models.

There are also improvements to the canvas section, which now includes quick-action buttons. These allow users to debug issues, add comments, or suggest improvements.

While this feature had been spotted before, it now seems to be fully rolled out. Additionally, the settings tab for Le Chat has finally been separated from the general settings of La Platforme, making it easier to manage them independently.

Last but not least, Mistral AI has released mobile apps for both Android and iOS. These apps have already been spotted by users and are available for download. They are fully functional, with image generation and web search integrated. While there are no specific toggles for these options, users can simply ask the model to use these tools, and they will work. The UI is quite simple for now, but it is likely to expand over time.
