Manus AI, the autonomous agent platform acquired by Meta in late 2025, is preparing to expand beyond its current Telegram-only messaging integration for its always-on AI Agent by adding support for WhatsApp. Evidence found within the Manus web application points to a WhatsApp connection flow that mirrors the existing Telegram setup: users would scan a QR code generated by Manus, then complete the linking process through WhatsApp Business. Notably, a standard WhatsApp account will not suffice, users will need to migrate to or already have a WhatsApp Business account to connect with the official Manus bot.

Manus co-founder Tao Zhang previously stated plans to accelerate the rollout of Manus Agents on messaging apps, with WhatsApp, LINE, Slack, and Discord support described as coming very soon. The WhatsApp integration would give Manus access to the platform's massive user base and, more importantly, to the Meta hardware ecosystem. Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses already support hands-free WhatsApp messaging through voice commands, meaning that once Manus lands on WhatsApp, glasses owners could theoretically speak to the Manus agent directly without reaching for their phone. This would be a meaningful upgrade over the default Meta AI assistant on the glasses, which is still powered by Llama 4. With Manus, users would gain access to a full agentic system capable of multi-step task execution, research, data processing, and content creation, all triggered by a voice command through their glasses.
The Telegram integration, which launched about a month ago, already gives users access to the same capabilities found in the regular Manus platform, including model switching between Manus 1.6 Max and Manus 1.6 Lite. Whether the Meta Glasses-to-Manus pipeline will actually work as described remains untested, but the pieces are clearly being put into place. No official release date has been shared yet.
