Kimi AI is expanding its functionality following the recent launch of the K2.5 model, which currently leads open source benchmarks, especially in code-related tasks. The next planned feature allows users to generate a website directly from an image or video.
This new function will be accessible from both regular chat mode and the agent mode, providing a flexible way to create web pages that visually match supplied media. In tests, the feature performed reliably, with agent mode showing stronger overall performance for this task.
The company is also introducing updates to the preview section. A dedicated edit mode will let users annotate previews, select specific UI components, and use tools for highlighting errors, placing markers, or adding comments. Once the editing is complete, these annotated changes are rendered as an image, which then appears in the chat, making it easier to track and review all modifications visually.

These additions reinforce Kimi AI’s direction toward practical development tools aimed at users who want rapid prototyping and iterative feedback within a single workspace. The team behind Kimi continues to focus on pushing their product into spaces where seamless integration of code, design, and review tools is a priority, supporting both technical and non-technical users as they build and refine web assets.
