Opera has opened public access to Opera Neon, transitioning the browser from its October Founders phase into a paid early access model for all users. The release on December 11 makes the agentic browser available globally through a $19.90 monthly subscription, removing the previous waitlist and expanding it beyond the initial test group.

Neon is positioned for AI power users who want immediate access to the newest models and experimental workflows. It runs AI agents that perform tasks inside the browser, from booking travel to generating code for web apps. Subscribers gain access to leading models such as:
- Gemini 3 Pro
- GPT 5.1
- Veo 3.1
- Nano Banana Pro
The browser also includes Neon Chat, Do and Make agents, which automate content creation and productivity tasks, and the ODRA research agent that compiles structured research summaries with sources in about one minute.

Opera created Neon as a testing environment for fast-evolving agentic features before they reach its mainstream browsers. The product is updated weekly and shaped by community feedback. Subscribers also join a dedicated Discord server where they can test features first and interact directly with Opera’s developers.

Opera, headquartered in Oslo, continues to ship free AI features in Opera One, GX, and Air for general users while positioning Neon as a premium workspace for early adopters who want consolidated access to multiple top models and experimental agent capabilities.
