Google working on Code Artifacts for Gemini, inspired by Canvas and Artifacts

I will keep spoiling you with Gemini product updates on the map. Reportedly, they are working on a Code Artifacts feature, which will very likely be similar to the Canvas feature on ChatGPT or Artifacts on Claude. This feature is expected to let users open code snippets within the same side sheet currently used for the Deep Research feature. Users will be able to modify the code, but it is unclear whether there will be an option to actually render the code. The feature seems to still be in the early development stage, so if rendering is added, it will likely come later.

Besides this, Google is continuing to polish its Scheduled Prompts feature. It now seems to work much more reliably than before. With this feature, users will be able to schedule and post tasks, but there will be a limit of 5 scheduled prompts at a time.

On a smaller note, Google is also working on the ability to tag custom GEMs directly from the prompt bar. This will function similarly to how extensions are tagged and will simplify access to these gems straight from the main chat interface.

Lastly, Google is experimenting with an Enterprise Mode that allows users to toggle between Enterprise and Personal modes. This addresses privacy and functionality concerns. In Enterprise mode, users may not have access to some features due to workplace restrictions, while in Personal mode, they cannot use work-related data for privacy reasons.

In general, there is an expectation that Gemini Pro 2 might be released around next week. This could coincide with the potential arrival of o3-Mini and Groq 3, making next week an exciting one for updates.
