Google is launching Chrome auto browse, a new feature powered by Gemini 3, to a limited audience of AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the U.S. This tool is designed for users who want to delegate complex online tasks, moving beyond Chrome’s traditional autofill by handling multi-step processes such as vacation planning, scheduling, managing financial tasks, and shopping. Chrome auto browse leverages Gemini 3’s multimodal capabilities, allowing it to interpret images, search for products, and assist with transactions, even applying discounts and managing sign-ins when permitted.

The feature is opt-in, giving users full control over which apps are connected and the ability to disconnect at any time. Chrome will also remember past conversations, enabling context-aware and tailored responses. Early testers have reported time savings on tasks like renewing licenses, collecting tax documents, and getting service quotes.

Google, the company behind this release, is building on its established presence in AI and productivity tools. By integrating Gemini’s personal intelligence into Chrome, Google aims to expand the browser’s utility from a passive browsing tool to an active assistant, responding to user preferences and habits while maintaining user control and privacy. The rollout is currently limited to certain U.S.-based subscribers, with plans to expand availability in the coming months.
