Telegram has unveiled a sweeping update delivering several new features, headlined by an AI Text Editor that can correct grammar, translate messages, or change writing style using Telegram’s proprietary Cocoon AI. The rollout is immediate and available to all users across Telegram’s official apps on iOS, Android, desktop, and web. Target audiences include individual users, group admins, and channel managers seeking advanced text and poll tools. The AI Editor supports styles such as Formal, Short, Tribal, Corp, Zen, Biblical, and Viking, and integrates translation with style adaptation. Unlike some competing products, Telegram’s Cocoon AI processes all requests confidentially, guaranteeing user privacy with no data retention. Access is triggered by typing more than three lines, after which an ‘Ai’ icon appears.
This update also introduces major improvements to polls, allowing attachment of media or locations to poll questions and answers, custom descriptions for context, user-suggested responses, voter visibility, shuffling options, time limits, and new quiz formats. Both active and past polls can now be viewed from a dedicated tab in group and channel profiles, streamlining poll management for admins. In terms of technical advancement, this surpasses previous Telegram poll implementations and introduces several options absent in rival messaging platforms.

Telegram’s core mission with this update is to boost productivity, privacy, and creativity for its vast global user base. The company continues leveraging its in-house Cocoon AI and open-source philosophy, ensuring every new feature aligns with its security standards and commitment to broad accessibility without requiring advanced technical skills from users.
