OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Pulse in preview for Pro users on iOS and Android. Pulse initiates the conversation each morning with a concise, personalized brief composed of tappable cards. The rollout will expand to Plus users next, with the ultimate goal of reaching all users.

Pulse proactively researches overnight, utilizing your memory, chat history, and direct feedback. It can connect to Gmail and Google Calendar for context, such as draft agendas, trip preparation, and timely reminders. All integrations are off by default and can be toggled anytime. Safety checks screen topics before display. Each day’s brief is finite and ephemeral unless saved.

When and Where: Available today as a mobile preview for Pro users on iOS and Android. You can curate tomorrow’s brief via a “Curate” prompt and thumbs up or down. Early testers from the ChatGPT Lab reported finding value once they instructed Pulse on exactly what to track.

How It Works and What’s Next: Pulse conducts asynchronous research, merges it with memory and connected apps, then delivers a once-daily brief you can open for details or turn into follow-ups. OpenAI frames Pulse as the first step toward agents that research, plan, and take helpful actions; related foundations include Tasks and real-time voice agents.

OpenAI positions this as part of a broader ChatGPT roadmap focused on memory, connectors, and business-ready workflows, while keeping data controls explicit and opt-in for app access.
