Google continues to work on new Gemini features, and recent builds reveal a few notable additions.
First, the attachment menu appears set to gain a new option called Avatar. This seems to be tied to the previously spotted Likeness feature. Users would likely be able to create a 3D portrait of themselves for use in image and video generation. The feature has reportedly been tested internally for some time, and its appearance in the attachment menu could indicate that a public release is getting closer.
Another new item appears in the side navigation bar under the name Remy. This seems to be part of a student-focused experience Google has been hinting at for a while. Based on what is visible so far, Remy looks like a dedicated learning mode designed to help users prepare for exams.
With Google I/O approaching, it remains unclear whether these features will launch before the event or be announced during it. Still, the recent changes suggest Google is actively preparing both for release.
There are also signs that Skill Support is quietly rolling out to some Gemini Ultra users. That would align with earlier reports that Google has been working to integrate this capability into Gemini. For now, it is still developing, but the signals are becoming harder to ignore.
