Anthropic has launched a new integration allowing its Claude AI assistant to work directly within Slack. This rollout targets paid Slack workspaces and is available through the Slack Marketplace. Both Team and Enterprise plan customers can utilize the Slack connector, provided their admins enable it in the organization’s Claude settings. Users authenticate with their existing Claude accounts, and all activity adheres to Slack's established security protocols and permissions.
You can also connect Slack to Claude.

Claude searches your workspace channels, DMs, and files to provide context for deep work.
Prep for meetings, gather project updates, or create documentation with full Slack context.
Claude in Slack enables users to interact with the AI in three distinct ways: via direct messages for private tasks, through the AI assistant panel accessible from any channel, or by mentioning @Claude in threads for context-aware drafting and research. The assistant can analyze documents, summarize discussions, draft responses, and search across public and private channels the user has access to. Unlike previous iterations of Claude or other AI assistants, this integration allows Claude to pull in contextual information not only from Slack but also from connected tools like email and documents, supporting more comprehensive research and workflow automation.
The integration is the product of a collaboration between Anthropic and Slack, aiming to bring AI-driven work processes to the forefront for enterprise teams. Early industry feedback points to this as a strong competitor to existing AI integrations in collaboration platforms, with particular attention to the depth of context retrieval and privacy controls.
