Anthropic has rolled out a major update to Claude, its AI assistant, allowing users to access and interact with popular productivity tools directly from within the Claude interface. Users on Claude’s Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans can now build project timelines in Asana, draft and send formatted Slack messages, create and edit diagrams in Figma, and manage files in Box, among other integrations, all without leaving the Claude environment. This update is available immediately via the web and desktop applications, with support for Claude Cowork coming soon.
Your work tools are now interactive in Claude.

Anthropic targets professionals and teams who frequently switch between multiple apps for project management, design, analytics, and communication. The new feature leverages the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and its extension MCP Apps, offering developers a way to build interactive UIs that can work across different AI platforms. Unlike previous versions that only allowed Claude to take actions on connected apps, users now see and collaborate on tool-generated content in real time within the chat.
Industry specialists note that this approach sets Claude apart from other AI solutions by embedding live, interactive app experiences directly in conversations, rather than relying on disconnected integrations or external links. Early feedback from enterprise users highlights increased workflow efficiency and smoother team coordination.
Anthropic’s move aligns with its commitment to open standards and interoperability, aiming to foster a broader ecosystem for AI-driven workflows. By open-sourcing MCP and extending it with interactive capabilities, the company encourages developers to create more robust and flexible integrations for a growing range of business applications.
