A new feature on X has been spotted in development, allowing users to potentially use Grok to compose or edit their posts. Elon Musk has also mentioned earlier that this feature is in progress.

In the new post-composer for X, a new button currently allows users to generate images. Soon, this button will also offer an option to edit or enhance text. With this feature, users will be able to proofread their text, generate alternative versions of the same content in a separate field, and decide whether to further refine the text or insert the improved version directly into the prompt bar.

Additionally, the feature provides a wide range of writing styles and personalities. These range from fun options like “caveman” and “pirate” to professional styles like “influencer” and more. Each style drastically transforms the tone and language of the message, and users can generate multiple variations of rewritten text.

In general, this feature is a great addition, offering users the ability to proofread their text and fact-check it. It will be interesting to see how soon it becomes available to the public.

Apart from this, there have been a few updates to the standalone Grok. The mobile application has been released in more countries, including India and others.

On the website, the “smart mode” has been renamed to “auto.” Additionally, users can now see prompt suggestions as conversation starters in the prompt bar. After receiving a response, users are also shown potential follow-up questions, similar to the features available on Grok for X.
