# Twitter Alpha removed a possibility of creating Fleets on Android

As it was announced in July, Twitter is going to discontinue Fleets feature in [August 2021](https://blog.twitter.com/en%5Fus/topics/product/2021/goodbye-fleets?ref=testingcatalog.com). The recent Alpha update version 9.6.0 came along without an option of creating Fleets. Instead, there you can find a "Start a Space" button. It also got coloured in a purple way so you can relate it to Spaces straight away.
