Xiaomi MIUI

Notifications sound effect now changes over time in MIUI 11.

As it was announced on official Twitter of MIUI as a part of MIUI 11 rollout campaign. Notifications also change their color during the day from light to dark. On a side note, MIUI made it's official debut on Europe on November 6 and hit 38 million users.

Telegram

Telegram posted a new tip for their users, this time, about search by day functionality.

You can search by date to find messages from a specific day, whether it's a trip down memory lane or retracing your steps after a wild weekend party #TelegramTips

Google Photos, YouTube, Reddit

​​Chrome Browser

Got a new quick tabs menu released to live on Chrome stable. It appears after a long tap on the tab icon. That makes it easier to navigate to new tabs. A regular New Tab button is located on the top left corner and it is tricky to get there with one hand.

Now promotes a document cropping extension in the editing tab. Not new but was pushed to more users. To try it out you can take a screenshot and enter an "edit mode". The most right menu should have an extensions section and a "crop document option". The cropping tool also allows you to adjust the angle of the image.

Spotify

Spotify adds personalized Google Assistant commands for recommended music.

Starting today, listening to Spotify on your Google Home device just got even more personal. Now, when global users set Spotify Premium as their default listening option on a Google Home device, they’ll be able to receive music discovery recommendations with Spotify specific voice commands. All users who have set English as their Google Assistant default language will be able to access the commands. Simply say, Hey Google!

Google Maps

Apparently Google announced its social feature for Google Maps on their blog some days ago. "Discover new places with help from top Local Guides". This feature integrates local guides deeper into the Google Maps app.

YouTube

Is testing a new AR experience in front of SCOOB movie. Users will be able to take a selfie with AR Scoob directly in the app during the movie trailer. The test invitation was sent to the Google Lens test group which you can join via this form

Reddit

​​Reddit for Android 3.41 adds spoiler and NSFW tagging, Account settings, and prepares to add GIF and animated emote comment support. Users can tap on a 3 dots menu to get access to these 2 tags. They will become visible from post and list views.

Twitter

Got a new changelog for security update on Android.

We're making some improvements to Twitter! We're also making it easier to secure your account with Two-Factor Authentication. Starting today, you can enroll in 2FA without a phone number. -Out of sight, out of mind. You can now hide replies to your Tweets and move them to a separate page. We're making it easier to secure your account. Starting today, we’ll send a push-notification, in addition to an email, if there’s a suspicious login to your account.
