Instagram Beta & Alpha for Android Community Report 📲 POCOPHONE F1

Based on the famous leakster Jane Manchun Wong's findings - the result of long reverse-engineering sessions and published on Twitter, we compiled a list, which summarizes the top five interesting new Instagram features that are being secretly tested by the company's developers for the past month. For your information, those are all for the Android version of the app only.

The features are in no particular order, so without further ado, let's proceed with the first entry in our list to the fifth:

Basically, users can add other people to their Collections, so anyone in that collection can have access and save publications.

Double-tapping to like comments is for sure a pretty handy gesture. I hope it rolls out soon enough.

Instagram has been showing a green outline around profile pictures of people in your Close Friends list in Stories. The removal of this indication should resolve dramas like "Why am I not in your Close Friends and he/she is?"

The newest top bar UI refresh that is under development resembles the one found in Facebook Messenger - elements are denser, so everything is more compact.

Music mode in Instagram Stories lets users add soundtracks to their Stories that fit any moment, and from a large library of licensed songs. They have now started experimenting with removing the limits in music mode videos, so you do not feel restricted by time.

IG's popularity among the younger fellas is what keeps it in one of the top spots in terms of user count, and we see the efforts that are being put in to satisfy them. But, adding a plethora of new features is not always the best practice, because things can get cluttered, and in my humble opinion, this is relevant for the social media platform in our subject. A bit of a clean up wouldn't hurt. Also, the ads are very intrusive.
