Microsoft's soon to be released to the stable branch Edge browser for PC based on Google's Chromium has made a huge impact on the mobile version as well. The new logo makes its way onto the 44th version of the Android app, aside from other significant design and functionality-wise improvements that we are going to delve into in just a bit.
The official Play Store release notes are the following:
Thanks for using Microsoft Edge! Here’s what’s new in this release:
• A new look and feel, plus an updated navigation for easier access to features like search, favorites, and more
We’ve also made some general bug fixes and performance improvements.
As stated above, we do get enhanced navigation in Edge through a major revamp to the bottom toolbar and especially the three-dot menu itself. Now you can rearrange all of the buttons on the menu page for easier access to your most-used options.
The redesigned UI is now officially rolling out, after months of an ongoing beta period.
