Test Report 📑
This is a simple reaction game where you will have to feed the spider with bugs and discover new bug types. This app is well optimised and doesn't have any major issues. It also has some Halloween themes which makes it a nice addition to the Halloween apps collection.
Devices: Google Pixel XL 2, Android 8.1.0
Share button doesn't work in the pause menu. Steps - start the game - press back - press Share. Expected - share intent starts. Actual - nothing happens.
Ad-free purchasing hangs with "please wait" message. It is possible that it is just related to the Beta release channel.
Levels 10, 20, 30, 40 notifications about new bug types are shown multiple times for a second. I would try to show it only once but for the longer period of 5 seconds.
Levels after level 30 are a lot easier than levels from 20 to 30. I managed to pass from 30 to 45 in 3 minutes.
A new bug notification on level 80 is repeating lower levels and introduces a bug which was discovered before. It looks like the game has a repeating pattern. Probably it would be nice to add more unique levels and bugs because 30 levels could be passed in a couple of hours and the rest of the game becomes less interesting and challenging.
Control buttons on the main screen a covered by the 90dp banner a bit. Screenshot.
All passed chapters in the chapter list have 0/30 score even if those chapters were passed.
There are 500 chapters in total which means that the user can feed the spider up to level 50000. Keeping in mind a repeating pattern, it could make the user a bit bored. I would probably hide unlocked chapters and show them only after unlocking one by one.
Chapters list phrase is hovering Home and Play buttons in Russian Lang. Screenshot.
The core problem here would be a level design and game complexity. Maybe it would make sense to teach the spider to eat a bug in order to free up some space and increase number of bugs in the pool in higher levels.
Energy consumption (Screenshot) and Facebook API integration work good.
