Chrooma Keyboard, "the best Android app released in all of 2016" according to Android Authority, is inevitably the most unique keyboard app for Android. The selling point of it is, of course, the adaptable theme and to be precise, the way it changes its color in certain apps, to better streamline the used colors in the UI.
A new update hit beta users in the Play Store, adding a number of new features, which are part of their new Chrooma Business Suite package, available for purchasing. It includes add-ons such as Translator, Event Creator, Encrypt message and Google Now integration, and each of them can be bought for roughly a couple of dollars, but of course, prices are different depending on the country you live in.
Let’s see what are the newly added plugins for in detail, so you can decide if they are worth it, or not:
Translator - Translate every piece of text you write instantly in one of the seventy-five supported languages.
Event Creator - Create an event directly from the keyboard and share it with the receiver, so he/she can add it right away to his/her calendar by tapping on a link.
Encrypt message - Send messages encrypted with a numeric key.
Google Now integration - Quickly type in commands for Google Now or do some Googling.
Other improvements with the latest updates include: - A new customizable toolbar - You can now enable, disable and reorder plugins. - Colored navigation bar - Activate it under the advanced theme options menu. - Improved predictions and power management.
One weird thing that surprised me is that my Huawei P8 was listed as incompatible with Chrooma in the Play Store. So, to overcome this, I have sideloaded the newest APK from APKMirror.com and now it works like a charm. It turns out that your device has to pass Google’s SafetyNet checks for you to be able to download the app from the Play Store. Rooted or Custom ROM user, watch out for this!
Tell us what do you think about the new plugins, and see you next time!
