Tor Browser is the new product of the Tor Project. It is here to replace the well known Orbot and Orfox combination of a secure VPN and a browser. Their new project is indeed supposed to give you the unbreakable security of the decentralized internet, where your traffic isn't being monitored by ISPs, website trackers and more.
The app is named Tor Browser and the first alpha hit the Play Store a couple of days ago. It is based on Firefox 60 and in terms of basic UI and features set, it is no different. The differentiation comes from the features we mentioned above, built around privacy and security. For this matter, even the app preview in the recent apps menu is hidden.
The installation process for it is also very simple. You need to open this direct link on your mobile phone/tablet device or your PC to be able to install the app because it doesn't show up in the search results there. Also, installing the Orbot app is mandatory for now, but there are plans to integrate the same features into the browser because support for Orbot is ending early 2019.
There is one issue that bothers me in this version (60.2) that is the slow website loading performance. Other than that, the app icon looks quite ugly here, but it's not a big deal.
