Pocket beta for Android adds new sections to discover feed along with "time to read" search filters

The recent pocket beta got a bunch of new sections on its discovery page. There you can find articles under Editors Pick, Collections, Ten minutes or less and Long reads worth the time. On every story card, you can also search for similar articles.

Along with this, you can find new filters under the search tab that allow you to browse through your reading list by sorting via the time to read value.
This feature becomes handy when you want to search for something to read based on the free time that you have. This feature was highlighted in the previous release but was not available to everyone for some reason.

What's new?

Need something good to read? We've added new sections to our Discover tab so you can find the story that best matches your mood or moment, whether that's Editors' Picks or stories that are 10 minutes or less. We've also made some under-the-hood updates to continue to bring you the best stories worthy of your time and attention.

As we roll this update out to the Pocket community, we’d love to hear what you think about the update!

How to test:

  • Install Pocket v7.41.0.0.
  • Open Discover feed.
  • Scroll down to see different sections.
