# Perplexity redefines collections with Spaces, allowing default model settings

Perplexity is planning to extract collections from its library section into a separate category called Spaces. This move will simplify the user experience (UX) and boost Spaces usage. Currently, collections are very underrated.

Users will also be able to set a default model for different collections, which is a significant productivity boost for collection users. At present, you have to change the model every time through settings or ask Perplexity to rewrite everything using a different model.

In general, collections are projects where users can set their own prompts, which will be applied to all search queries.
