# OpenAI adds Santa voice along with video support to ChatGPT Voice Mode

OpenAI has introduced two new features to ChatGPT as part of its "12 Days of OpenAI" event: Santa Mode and advanced video and screen sharing capabilities. These updates aim to enhance user interaction during the holiday season and beyond.

The [**Santa Mode**](https://www.testingcatalog.com/openai-kicks-off-12-days-of-openai-with-daily-live-demos-and-launches/) allows users to interact with an AI-powered Santa Claus voice, available globally across all ChatGPT platforms, including mobile, web, and desktop apps. It can be activated by selecting the Santa voice in settings or by tapping a snowflake icon next to the prompt bar. This feature is designed to add a festive touch to user interactions and will be available until early January 2025\. Notably, the first interaction with Santa resets the user's advanced voice limit, allowing for additional usage without affecting existing limits.

In addition to Santa Mode, OpenAI has rolled out **video and screen-sharing capabilities** in the Advanced Voice Mode of the ChatGPT mobile app. This feature is initially available to Team, Plus, and Pro users, with plans for wider availability in early 2025\. Users can now engage in real-time video conversations and share their screens with ChatGPT, enhancing the interactive experience. However, this feature is currently unavailable in the EU, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein due to regulatory considerations.
