# Google tests Firebase integration for AI Studio Build

Google is moving forward with plans to deepen integration between AI Studio and Firebase, as recent previews and widgets in the AI Studio build section revealed references to native support for databases and OAuth via Firebase. This points to a shift where developers will soon be able to set up database integration and authorization layer directly in AI Studio, which is currently more complicated and typically requires separate setup in Google Cloud. 

While core configuration and storage management will still likely take place in Firebase, the upcoming integration should reduce the friction for building and deploying more advanced applications in AI Studio, including those that require authentication and persistent data.

The recent Vibe Coding livestream by the AI Studio team provided further insight into UI changes. A new session preview in the build interface shows a layout reminiscent of the Firebase platform, and the addition of slash command support.
