Gemini is in the process of rolling out an OpenStax extension globally. This extension will be enabled by default and allows users to retrieve passages from openly licensed textbooks provided by OpenStax. OpenStax is recognized as the world’s largest publisher of open educational resources, offering interactive learning technologies and conducting educational research for both high school and college levels. For example, you can ask for a definition of a Lewis acid, and OpenStax will deliver a detailed explanation based on its educational content.
