# Gemini update unlikely to follow Pixel event in August

The next Gemini update is scheduled for August 23rd. As usual, expectations are not very high, with only one announcement item expected. Additionally, the next Pixel event is set for August 13th. Many people were anticipating that Google might announce something for Gemini during this event. However, given that the Gemini update is scheduled just 10 days later, it’s very likely we won’t see anything significant released. Features like gems, personalized memories, or routines, which are still in development, are some of the things we are still waiting for.

It’s quite possible that there will be many Gemini for Pixel feature announcements, but it remains unclear if we will see anything tangible in August at all.
