Recently, Perplexity introduced several updates aimed at enhancing user experience. Free users can now access the file search feature and upload up to five files. Alongside this, small user interface improvements were made to spaces, making it easier to identify the selected model for each space. They also added support for markdown uploads, complementing the existing PDF and other file format options.

Perplexity is reportedly working on additional features for spaces, with potential plans to evolve them into something closer to NotebookLM. If realized, this would represent a major transformation, making spaces even more versatile and valuable for users.

Another noteworthy development is the launch of Perplexity’s first [public curator](https://perplexity.typeform.com/to/hShlfcz5?typeform-source=www.perplexity.ai&ref=testingcatalog.com) program. Currently limited to 25 participants, this program allows selected users to publish their pages on the discovery feed, marking an initial step toward making discovery feeds richer and more diverse in content.

In addition to these updates, [Perplexity](https://www.testingcatalog.com/tag/perplexity/) has introduced support widgets. For specific inquiries, users can now view a scorecard, search for player stats, and access other data insights. This feature was added in response to popular demand and is powered by Tako, a real-time data provider. Although still in testing, this addition brings more interactive and insightful content to Perplexity’s platform.
