# Anthropic introduces personalized preferences in beta for Claude AI

Anthropic has introduced a new Personalized Preferences feature in Claude, accessible through Settings. Currently, in Beta, this feature allows users to set custom instructions tailored to their needs. A toggle in the Custom Styles drop-down menu enables users to switch Personalized Preferences on or off, providing flexibility in applying these settings.

Anthropic has also released an FAQ detailing the functionalities of Custom Styles and Personalized Preferences. Notably, Custom Styles are assigned attributes such as investigativeness, curiosity, and professionalism, each with specific values. Users can adjust these values to fine-tune Claude’s behaviour, allowing for precise customization to meet individual requirements.
